» BluKrytsalTears - Underm Odor

Okay,I have been reading all this info on underarm problems, and it is SO great to finally realize that someone else has thus problem besides me. Okay...I used to sweat like super bad under my arms, but then I got some Drysol, and it works kinda. Recently, I've had this problem where my underarms smell constantly at school. Its like...just give me 2 hours, and Ill be the smelly reject. And u know what I hate the most? I hate people that know you smell, but don't try to let u know in any way. Like, they could at least come up to you and pull you over to the side and inform you on it, but no! All they do is just sigh, and cough, and rub their noses in front of you, and whisper stuff like, "Dang..she's musty", and she needs to wash up and such...like its gonna actually cure the problem.Okay, sorry for that constant babbling. But anyway...could somebody please help me?! I am 12 and in the 8th grade, which is EXTREMELY frustrating for me because I am in the running for valedictorian. And since Im in 8th grade, we are always up on each other.Just sitting and stuff makes me feel so self-conscious.I wash up constantly under my arms, and since my parents think Im crazy (they can't smell me), they won't let me get any more deodorant.I am currently using Lady Mitchum (gel) and Suave(solid Powder (scented), but it just isn 't working, so please...if u could help.Thanks.

Have you seen a doctor? I seem to remember reading somewhere that there is medical help available for this problem.

If the problem persists you really should see your physician.

Sometimes a change in deodorant will help. They all have similar basic chemical makeup, but some work better than others for different people.

Do you shave your underarms? Hair growth can cause or enhance odor. Some cultures don't believe in shaving, and sometimes parents forbid their daughters to shave until they are older than you are. Frequent shaving can help to reduce underarm odor especially if you have a lot of hair.

You could try also using a little talcum powder such as baby powder. You could carry a small bottle of it in your purse or backpack to reapply at school esp. after gym class.

Corn starch is an alternative to talcum powder.

Stress causes increased sweating. The more you worry about this, the more stressed you'll be and the cycle will continue. Hope some of these suggestions help.

I have been reading this problems discussed among everyone on this site about underarm odor. I too have been suffering with this problem for 2 years now. I have now found a very simple solution to cure this problem. First let me tell you all I have had this odor that would gag a goat so if it is working for me it should work for you and it is very inexpensive. I know everyone says the same thing but this really works! Here it is when you take a bath put some mouth wash in your bath water, just enough to feel the tingle on your body. I come from a long line of health care workers and this is how they bathe the elderly in nursing homes. I have been using a brand called Dr.Tichner's. (I don't think that is the exact spelling but close). It is a concentrate so add it to your bath water and soak in and bath normally. I do this at night and in the morning I shower and use a generic mouth wash to wash under my arms. Rinse and apply deoderant as usual. I am last all day and I am having better results everyday. My daughter who has been having the same problem just washes her underarms in the morning and leaves the mouthwash on and applies deoderant, of course she lets it dry first then applies the deoderant. Try this and let me know how it works. I am praying for all of you because I know how alienated this problem makes a person feel. God bless you all.

» spfeliciano - Follow up to for sure cure

Also underarm odor seems to affect those of us who shower more often than bathe, so even though I shower in the morning using the mouth wash I take a bath at night and soak in the tub with the mouth wash. I know it sounds funny but it's working and I don't have to feel insecure around co-workers and friends. Try it! I hope you all have great success with it. God bless, take care
