Outcomes

Outcomes: definition

Health care professionals strive to make all outcomes positive. The patient's participation and cooperation is essential to the success.

An outcome is the result or consequence of an event, a disease, a drug, a treatment, etc.

For example, based on the diagnosis or problems presented, the health care team (which includes the patient) derives goals to treat an illness or injury, to prevent an illness or injury, or to promote welness.

The outcome is the result of the efforts put forth by all.
